Batman: Legacy Vol. 1,2 & Contagion (OOP)

Batman: Contagion and Legacy Volumes 1 and 2 together tell a single escalating saga in which Gotham is devastated by the engineered Clench virus, forcing a total quarantine while Batman and the Bat-family try to prevent the city from collapsing into chaos. The outbreak is revealed to be part of a long-planned scheme by Ra’s al Ghul, who sees Gotham as proof that modern society is rotten and must be purged, pushing Batman into a relentless global hunt to dismantle the network of scientists, mercenaries and financiers behind the plague. As the trail leads deeper into Ra’s operations, Bruce becomes increasingly isolated and obsessive, ultimately confronting the personal cost of his war on crime when the mastermind behind Gotham’s suffering is exposed and stopped, leaving the city saved but permanently scarred.
